PSI Seminars:
PSI is partnering with The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University’s The Fund Raising School (TFRS) to offer two courses this year. If you are interested in either of these excellent training sessions, think about using these courses toward a certificate. The Fund Raising School offers a Certificate in Fund Raising Management which recognizes and rewards a commitment to fundraising leadership through successful completion of four key courses offered by TFRS. Both of the courses offered by PSI are included in this programs’ curriculum.
Registration for both classes is available online at www.philanthropicservice.com. Space is limited to the first 40 registrants so attendees are highly encouraged to register today. Additional information including instructors, daily schedules, transportation and lodging recommendations and scholarship application forms are also available on the PSI website.
COURSE: Principles and Techniques of Fundraising, July 20-24, 2009
DESCRIPTION: Principles and Techniques continues to be The Fund Raising School’s trademark course and is recognized internationally for establishing the foundation and inspiration necessary to lead nonprofits to their financial goals. It provides the framework for operating a successful comprehensive development program. It is an intensive five-day, A-through-Z, training program that is the basis for the rest of the School's courses.
PRICE: Registration for this three day course is $445 for PSI members – more than a 50% discount. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.
COURSE: Planned Giving: Getting the Proper Start, September 21-23, 2009.
DESCRIPTION: Planned Giving is designed to teach attendees how to position organizations to be a part of the multi-billion dollar wealth transfer. This course provides a practical approach and gives tools for the implementation of a successful and realistic program.
